Edinburgh Woodcraft Folk are self-financing through group subscriptions and fund-raising activities. Further assistance is sought from grant giving bodies, e.g. Awards for All, when special projects are identified. We are also supported by Scot-Mid Co-operative Group.

The Edinburgh District committee consists of all Woodcraft Folk members living within the geographical area of Edinburgh, at present this numbers approximately 20 adult volunteers.
From these members a Co-ordinator, Secretary, Membership Secretary, and a Treasurer are appointed. These members are also active in helping their local groups.

Review and evaluation is an integral part of the work of Edinburgh Woodcraft. We encourage volunteers to evaluate with the children and young people during each session, and the views expressed are systematically used to inform the next round of programme planning.

Children and young people are encouraged to express opinions and to listen to those of others. There is a high level of effective communication with all the adults in Edinburgh via e - groups, termly group meetings and a District meeting is held approximately every 2 months.
